It’s the return of a legend: The Tinker Hatfield design that solidified MJ’s relationship with Nike is back with a clean white upper that’s energised by flashes of Dark Iris. Cracked Black and Cement Grey leather on the toe and heel nod to the iconic “Black Cement” release from ’94, bridging past with present. And underfoot, you can always count on Air cushioning to keep you going.
The “Dark Iris” starts as many a past offering has, as white tumbled leathers construct much of the shoe’s exterior. Pops of the titular purple, then, accent the collar, eyelets, branding, and midsole, brightening up a palette that’s otherwise brimming with neutral fixtures. Among the most notable instances of these, the paneling at the heel counter and toe feature a cement print that’s somewhat enlarged relative to previous examples.
