During late September, Jordan Brand officially unveiled much of their Holiday 2022 line-up, which featured everything from much-anticipated Air Jordan 4s to equally noteworthy Air Jordan 1s. And amongst the latter, the “Gorge Green” Jordan 1 is one of the soonest up, currently scheduled to hit shelves on November 26th.
Following numerous appearances throughout the first half of the year, official images of the Air Jordan 1 “Gorge Green” have finally surfaced. And though not associated with the Boston Celtics in any official capacity, the colorway does conjure to mind images of the iconic franchise. This is obviously due most in part to the titular green that’s brushed onto the leather overlays, lining, outsole, and laces. The rest of the shoe is rendered in white, with silver detailing along the Swoosh and Wings logo.
In 2001, Nike released a special “Co.JP” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 in Japan. The shoe was only available in Japan and featured a white leather upper with blue and red accenting. The “Co.JP” colorway quickly became a grail for many Air Jordan collectors. The shoe was an instant sell-out and remains one of the most sought-after Air Jordan 1 colorways to date. Nike has recently re-released both the grey and the navy pairs, with a new bordeaux pair and now this green pair.
Enjoy an official look at the “Gorge Green” below. Again, these will be made available on November 26th via Nike SNKRS as well as select retailers.
In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Cherry” have also surfaced.
